Biography

The Hon. Gregory G. Groger is a judge for the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Rick Scott in 2017, filling the vacancy created by the passing of the Hon. Walter L. Schafer, Jr.


The 6th Judicial Circuit encompasses Pasco County and Pinellas County.


Prior to his appointment, Groger was an assistant state attorney with the Office of the State Attorney for the 6th Judicial Circuit, a position to which he was named in 2003. During his tenure there, he prosecuted white-collar cases.


Groger received his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida. He went on to earn a J.D. from Stetson University College of Law.


His memberships have included the East Pasco Bar Association.


He was a resident of Land O' Lakes, Florida, at the time of his appointment.
