Plaintiff Adnan Din, M.D., F.A.C.S.’ motion to compel limited discovery under Code of Civil
Procedure section 425.16, subdivision (g) is GRANTED. (Code Civ. Proc., § 425.16, subd. (g).)
The Court finds it reasonable that the depositions of Kurt Shuler, M.D., and the Person Most
Knowledgeable from Sutter Valley Hospital’s Board of Directors, including the documents
requested therewith, may assist plaintiff in obtaining evidence to establish a prima facie case. (See
Church of Scientology v. Wollersheim (1996) 42 Cal.App.4th 628, 646 – 647, overruled in part on
other grounds, Equilon Enterprises v. Consumer Cause, Inc. (2002) 29 Cal.4th 53; Lafayette
Morehouse, Inc. v. Chronicle Publishing Co. (1995) 37 Cal.App.4th 855, 868.) The Court also
