The Hon. Wm. Bruce McKinley is a judge for the Madison County Justice Court in Mississippi. He initially joined the bench in 2011.
McKinley earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Millsaps College in 1978. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1981.
After graduating from law school, McKinley opened his own private practice as a sole practitioner. He has handled civil, criminal, and regulatory law matters, supplementing his practice with service as an arbitrator with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, a hearing examiner for the Mississippi Public Service Commission, and general counsel to the Mississippi Public Commission.
His memberships have included the National Conference of Regulatory Attorneys, the National Association of Regulatory Commissioners, the Mississippi Bar Association, and the Madison County Bar Association. He has also been involved with the Ridgeland Chamber of Commerce.
He was a resident of Ridgeland, Mississippi, at the time of his election.
