The Hon. Tasha D. Scott is a judge for the 4th Judicial Circuit Court of Virginia. She was elected to the bench by the Virginia General Assembly on September 1, 2021.
The 4th Judicial Circuit encompasses the City of Norfolk.
Prior to her election, Scott was a judge for the 4th Judicial District Court, a position to which she was named in 2015. Before that, she spent ten years as an assistant city attorney for the Norfolk City Attorney’s Office.
Scott earned a bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary. She then completed a J.D. at The George Washington University Law School.
Her memberships have included the Virginia Association of District Court Judges. She has also served on the Board of Governors for the Criminal Law Section of the Virginia State Bar, and she has taught as a faculty member for the Virginia State Bar’s Harry B. Carrico Professionalism Course.
