The Hon. Randy I. Bellows is a judge for the 19th Judicial Circuit Court of Virginia in Fairfax County. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Mark Warner in 2002.
Prior to his appointment, Bellows was an Assistant United States Attorney and senior litigation counsel with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, where he was tasked with prosecuting fraud and national security matters. Before serving in that capacity, he was a trial attorney in the Fraud Section of the United States Department of Justice and was a former public defender for the District of Columbia.
He received a B.S. in journalism from the University of Florida in 1974. Bellows then completed a J.D. at Harvard Law School in 1977.
He has taught as an adjunct professor at George Mason University, Antonin Scalia Law School.
