The Hon. Michael D. Clement is a judge for the 25th Judicial District Court of Louisiana in Plaquemines Parish. He was elected to the bench in 2011.
He has served as Chief Judge of the 25th Judicial District and presides over the Juvenile Court.
Clement received a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Loyola University in 1987. He then completed a J.D. at Loyola University, New Orleans College of Law in 1991.
Clement began his legal career in private practice, where he handled medical malpractice, worker's compensation, long-shore and harbor workers' claims, and general insurance defense claims. Then, in 1993, his practice transitioned to include divorce, custody, personal injury, contract, maritime, and succession matters.
He is registered as a Republican.
