The Hon. Lilynn S. Cutrer (Ret.) is a former judge for the 14th Judicial District Court of Louisiana in Calcasieu Parish. She was elected to the bench in 1999. Cutrer retired in 2020.
She held an assignment in the Family & Juvenile Court and was Chief Judge of the 14th Judicial District (2011 to 2013).
Cutrer received a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University. She then completed a J.D. at Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center, in 1989.
Cutrer worked as an assistant district attorney in Calcasieu Parish before her election to the bench.
She was named to the First Federal Bank of Louisiana Board of Directors in 2023. Cutrer was also involved with the Louisiana Juvenile Jurisdiction Planning and Implementation Committee, the Louisiana Domestic Violence Curriculum Development Advisory Committee, and the Louisiana Law Institute. In addition, she served on the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, Lake Charles Cemetery Association, and First United Methodist Church.
Cutrer received the Jack V. Doland Citizen of the Year Award from the Women’s Commission of SWLA (2017) and the Light of Hope Award from Family & Youth Counseling (2010).
