The Hon. Lauralee G. Westine is a judge for the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Rick Scott in 2016. She filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Bruce Boyer.
The 6th Judicial Circuit encompasses Pasco County and Pinellas County.
Prior to her appointment, Westine practiced as a sole practitioner at her own law firm since 2000. Her areas of practice centered around local government and land use law, specifically as it related to the zoning and permitting of cell towers. Before entering the private sector, Westine spent five years as an assistant state attorney with the Office of the State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit.
Westine received her B.A. from the University of Florida in 1992. She went on to earn a master's degree from Stetson University and a J.D. from Stetson University College of Law (1995).
Her memberships have included the Board of Trustees of St. Petersburg College.
Westine was a resident of Palm Harbor, Florida, at the time of her appointment. Her husband has served as the Sheriff of Pinellas County.
