The Hon. Judi F. Abrusley is a judge for the 33rd Judicial District Court of Louisiana. She was elected to the bench in 2020.
The 33rd Judicial District encompasses Allen Parish.
Abrusley earned a B.Ed. (1983) and an M.Ed. (1985) from Northwestern State University. She spent the next eight years working as a teacher before completing a J.D. at the Southern University Law Center in 1996. She is licensed to practice in Louisiana (1996).
After graduating from law school, Abrusley entered into private practice, representing a vast array of clients in Oakdale.
Her memberships have included the Juvenile & Family Court Judges Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Allen Parish Bar Association, and the City Court Judges Association. She has also been involved with the Allen Action Agency, the Sacred Heart Catholic Women’s Services League, the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce, and the Oakdale Warriors Booster Club.
She is a recipient of the Civic Service Award from the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce (2013), and she was named the Grand Marshal for the City of Oakdale Christmas Parade (2017).
Abrusley is registered as a Republican.
