The Hon. Jennifer Schloegel is a chancellor for the 8th Chancery Court District of Mississippi. She was elected to the bench in 2010, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of the Hon. Margaret Alfonso.
The 8th Chancery District encompasses Harrison, Hancock, and Stone Counties.
Prior to her election, Schloegel was an attorney at Page, Mannino, Peresich & McDermott. During her tenure there, she specialized in business law, estate planning, wills, and probate matters.
Schloegel earned a bachelor’s degree in English, philosophy, and classical history from Louisiana State University in 1988. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1991.
Her memberships have included the Mississippi Women Lawyers Association, the Gulfport Business Club, and the Harrison County Bar Association.
She was a resident of Gulfport, Mississippi, at the time of her election. She and her husband, Mark, have five children. The family attends St. James Catholic Church.
