Hon. Jason A. DeLoach is a judge for the Prince George’s County Orphans’ Court in Maryland. He was appointed to the bench by Governor Larry Hogan in 2022.
At the time of his appointment, DeLoach was a senior litigation attorney and vice president of the Legal Division at Alexander & Cleaver, where he had practiced since 1997. His areas of practice have included auto accidents, administrative law, criminal law, traffic violations, DUI/DWI, HOA representation, alcoholic beverage licensing and compliance, municipal representation, estates, wills, durable powers of attorney and advanced directives, administrative appeals, insurance disputes, and commercial and residential leases. DeLoach also gained experience in state and federal courts and has practiced before the Liquor Boards and various administrative agencies in Maryland.
In addition to his practice there, he served as the town/city attorney for Brentwood, Fairmount Heights, Greenbelt, New Carrollton, and Seat Pleasant. He was also a mediator for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Program of the District Court of Maryland, an agency attorney for the Prince George’s County Board of License Commissioner, and general counsel to the Prince George’s County Municipal Association and Chamber of Commerce and Florida A&M University’s National Alumni Association (Washington, D.C.).
DeLoach received a B.A. in criminal justice and criminology from the University of Maryland in 1993. He went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1997.
His memberships have included the Prince George’s County Bar Association (president; treasurer; secretary; board member), the Maryland State Bar Association (president-elect; treasurer; Board of Governors; Executive Committee), the Maryland Municipal Attorneys, the American Bar Association, and the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association.
He was also a former chairman of the Prince George’s Chamber of Commerce and a board member of Adoptions Together, Inc.
He was named among the Administrative Law Top 100 by Maryland Super Lawyer (2011 to 2019) and a Maryland Rising Star (2010).
DeLoach, who was born in London, England, is married and has twin boys.
