The Hon. Glenn Alderson (Ret.) was a judge for the 18th Chancery Court District of Mississippi. He was elected to the bench in 1999. Alderson retired in 2018.
The 18th Chancery Court includes Benton, Calhoun, Lafayette, Marshall, and Tippah Counties.
Prior to his election, he spent ten years as the municipal judge for the City of Oxford (1989 to 1999). Before that, he was the Prosecuting Attorney for Lafayette County (1968 to 1984).
Alderson received a bachelor’s degree in public administration from the University of Mississippi. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Mississippi School of Law.
Alderson is a past president of the Oxford-Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and the Lafayette County Bar Association.
He and his late wife, Jackie, have two grown children and two grandchildren.
