The Hon. Devon R. Paige is a judge for the 4th Judicial District Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court of Virginia. She was elected to the bench by the Virginia General Assembly on July 1, 2019.
The 4th Judicial District encompasses the City of Norfolk.
Prior to her election, Paige was a founding partner of Rice & Paige, a law firm she established in 2012. She focused her practice on criminal and family law matters, serving as a guardian ad litem for juveniles and incapacitated adults. Before that, she was staff counsel for GEICO Insurance Company, where she defended personal injury and property damage claims.
Paige earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Virginia in 1999. She then completed a J.D. at The George Washington University Law School in 2002.
After graduating from law school, Paige began her legal career as an assistant public defender for the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission in Portsmouth. She was subsequently hired as an assistant commonwealth’s attorney for the City of Norfolk.
Her memberships have included the Norfolk & Portsmouth Bar Association and the South Hampton Roads Bar Association. She has also been involved with the Hampton Roads Board of Governors for the Virginia Opera.
Born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, Paige continues to reside in the city alongside her husband and their two children.
