The Hon. Charles E. Webster is a judge for the 11th Circuit Court District of Mississippi. He was re-elected to the bench in 2022.
The 11th Circuit District encompasses Bolivar, Coahoma, Quitman, and Tunica Counties.
Prior to his election, Webster was an attorney in private practice. He supplemented his practice with service as a city court prosecutor for Clarksdale and a public defender for the 11th Circuit Court District. He also taught constitutional law and administrative law at the University of Mississippi and business law at Coahoma Community College.
Webster earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi in 1976. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1979.
He is admitted to practice in Mississippi (1979), the United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi (1979), the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit (1979), and the United States Supreme Court (1979).
His memberships have included the Board of the Clarksdale Municipal School District and the Board of Coahoma Opportunities, Inc.
Born and raised in Coahoma County, Webster attended Clarksdale High School. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force.
