The Hon. Cameron B. Simmons (Ret.) served as a judge for the Jeanerette City Court in Louisiana. Simmons was elected to the bench in 1991. He retired in 2020.
In addition to his municipal service, Simmons has also presided as a judge for the Chitimacha Tribal Courts, a position he held from 1992 to 2017.
Simmons earned a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University New Orleans in 1979. He then completed a J.D. at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 1982.
After graduating from law school, Simmons spent time as an attorney in private practice, some of which as a managing partner at Simmons, Pitman & LeGros.
He and his wife, Christia, have two children. When not presiding over legal proceedings, he enjoys big game fishing, hunting, and golfing.
