Hon. Bethany Fountain Lindberg is a judge for the 10th Judicial District Court of Minnesota in Anoka County. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Tim Pawlenty in 2009.
The 10th Judicial District includes Anoka, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Pine, Sherburne, Washington, and Wright Counties.
Prior to her appointment, Fountain Lindberg was the chief attorney in the Family Division (2005 to 2009) and the Child Support Enforcement Unit (2002 to 2005) of the Anoka County Attorney’s Office. She joined the office as an assistant county attorney in 1999. Before her work therer, Fountain Lindberg was an attorney at the Swanson Law Firm in Grand Marais (1997 to 1999).
She received an A.A. from Rochester Community College (1985) and a B.S. from Mankato State University (1989). Fountain Lindberg went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Minnesota Law School in 1997.
Her memberships have included the American Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Anoka County Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Foundation Board, and the Minnesota County Attorneys Association. Fountain Lindberg also sat as a member of the Anoka County Early Neutral Evaluation Steering Committee and was chair of the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility’s 21st District Ethics Committee.
From a civic standpoint, she has been involved with the Northern Symphony Orchestra Board, Project Homeless Connect, and Alexandra House.
Fountain Lindberg has taught Continuing Legal Education courses on family law, professional responsibility, and ethics matters.
She was born in Rochester, Minnesota. At the time of her appointment, she resided in Anoka with her husband, Bryan, and their three children.
