be expressed, by Plaintiffs’ experts. His opinions are based on his education, training,

and cholesterol. Wrote a chapter on nutrition and cardiovascular disease for a textbook accepted
for publication and in conjunction with a television personality, has also written and edited
nationally distributed publications for lay persons on various aspects of nutrition, with an emphasis
on cardiovascular disease.

founder of RMI and currently, Director of Medical Nutrition Services. Developed policies and
procedures for nutritional services provided to individual patients and community and corporate
organizations. Assesses the nutritional needs of both adult and pediatric clients who are both self-
referred and referred by physicians and psychologists and provides medical nutrition therapy in
accordance with current scientific evidence-based guidelines. Specializes in the treatment of
eating disorders/disordered eating/obesity management, and received level 2 certificates of
training in both adult and pediatric and adolescent weight management through the Academy of

weight control; the management of lipid disorders, eating disorders (anorexia nervosa, bulimia
nervosa, binge-eating disorder), disordered eating, hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and
celiac disease as referred by internal medicine and pediatric physicians at Acton Medical
Associates. Taught group classes ranging from women’s health issues, feeding picky toddlers,
and college-bound nutrition, to updates in diabetes and cardiovascular disease, to name a few,
which were targeted separately to both adult and pediatric populations through Acton-Boxborough
Community Education.
Acton-Boxborough Regional Schools: (Teacher, Sports Healih & Nutrition Classes) -
Developed curriculum for and taught high school students a two-term course on nutrition,
emphasizing the role of nutrition in preventing chronic disease and in maintaining a feeling of
well-being. Also helped teach a course on sports medicine, in which methods were discussed to
both enhance athletic performance and prevent injury.

George Washington University Medical Center: (Chief Clinical Dietitian) - Responsible for
coordinating the activities of Registered Dietitians, Dietetic Technicians, and diet clerks in
providing nutritional care to all in-patients. Served as liaison between the Department of Nutrition
and the hospital administration, medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff. Provided in-service on
various topics of clinical nutrition to departmental members, and actively participated in
implementing a nutrient-drug interaction program. Launched a hospital-wide campaign to
promote awareness of nutrition and its relationship to health and the role of the Registered Dietitian
as the professional uniquely qualified to assess nutritional status and provide appropriate nutrition
education.
Nutrition Consultant in Private Practice, Montgomery Village, MD: As a Licensed,
Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist, counseled individual clients and groups of clients on various
aspects of nutrition, with an emphasis on lipid-lowering diets in the treatment of cardiovascular
disease. Co-wrote introductory videotape on the dietary management of high blood cholesterol
levels. Wrote and edited newsletters on various aspects of diet and cardiovascular disease for a
lay person publication and was a contributing editor to a low-fat cookbook for consumers, authored
by television personality, Ms. Lynn Fischer, who is both author and host of The Low Cholesterol
Gourmet book and cable television show.
The National Institutes of Health, Clinical Center: (Clinical/Research Nutritionist;
Commissioned Officer (Lt. 03) with the United States Public Health Service) - Responsibilities
included performing nutritional assessments on and providing optimal nutritional care and
education for patients admitted to each institute in the Clinical Center on a rotating basis. In
addition to dealing with patients with unique and wide-ranging medical problems from
methylmalonic acidemia to AIDS, chaired the nutritional care standards committee to develop and
implement standards of practice for all patients admitted to the Clinical Center, and presented these
to the medical-nutrition committee for approval. Initiated patient care audits to determine the
quality of nutritional care provided. Planned and conducted classes for the nutrition department
professional staff on a regular basis on various aspects of nutritional assessment and education as
these related to the implementation of the nutritional standards of practice. Provided input on the
nutritional aspects of medical protocols as these were being developed for various disease states.
Presented a discussion on uses of the Recommended Dietary Allowances in renal disease to the
Food and Nutrition Board of the National Academy of Sciences.
y of Memphis/University of Tennessee Hospital: (Chief Clinical Dietitian) - Developed,
instituted, and evaluated policies, procedures, and programs pertaining to the provision of
nutritional care and food service in a 500-bed teaching hospital affiliated with the University of
Tennessee. Directly supervised and evaluated the performance of 9 Registered Dietitians and 12
patient dietetic service supervisors, and coordinated the activities of the clinical nutrition branch
of the hospital. Provided nutrition education and orientation programs for all departmental
employees, and for members of the medical and nursing staffs, and acted as the liaison between
the Dietary Service Department and the Departments of Nursing, Medicine, and Pharmacy.

activities included developing a nutritional assessment program; establishing an on-going health
awareness program for cafeteria patrons, emphasizing the American Heart Association's dietary
guidelines; developing nutrition education materials and group classes for patients; and designing
and implementing a clinical nutrition practicum for dietetic students, approved by the Academy of
Nutrition and Dietetics. While working there, she has also served as a spokesperson for the
nutrition committee of the American Heart Association-Memphis Chapter and appeared on radio

St. Francis Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee: (Clinical Dietitian) - Provided nutritional care to
approximately 125 patients on the surgical and medical services of this privately owned hospital.
Developed nutrition education materials, taught individual and group classes on various aspects of
nutrition, and communicated pertinent information to appropriate members of the medical team.
Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge, Mlinois: (Cardiovascular Dietitian) - Provided
nutritional care to all patients in the 75-bed coronary care and intensive care units and coronary
rehabilitation unit in an 800-bed teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Illinois.
Instituted nutrition classes for coronary patients and families, using a team approach to teaching,
and developed a variety of patient nutrition education materials. Presented classes on nutrition
and heart disease to both lay persons and professional groups. Responsibilities also included:
conducting classes for and teaching dietetic interns on a one-to-one basis about various aspects of
nutrition. Developed and instituted policies and procedures regarding the nutritional care of
patients throughout the hospital.
The Presbyterian Home, Evanston, Hlineis: (Summer Intern) - Evaluated the nutritional status
of residents in this 1,000 bed nursing home-assisted living facility and provided medical nutrition
therapy when indicated in accordance with the patient’s needs and wishes. Ensured that employees
complied with quality control standards in preparing and serving foods; recommended disciplinary
action for employees when required.
Griffith Laberatories, Chicago, (Summer Intern) ~ Participated in preparing and
